Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating a HouseHeld account you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

To create an account you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. The account holder is the parent or legal guardian of any child profiles added to the household.

3. Account structure

HouseHeld uses a household-and-profiles model: one adult account holder manages a household containing multiple profiles (parents and children). The account holder is responsible for all activity under the account and for providing verifiable parental consent for each child profile.

4. Parental responsibility

You represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child profile you create, that you have reviewed our Privacy Policy, and that you provide verifiable parental consent to the collection of information described there.

5. Subscription and payment

HouseHeld may offer paid subscription tiers. Billing is monthly or annual, processed by Stripe. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the billing period. [TRIAL_TERMS]

6. Acceptable use

• No attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service
• No uploading of illegal, harmful, or obscene content
• No impersonation of another person
• No use of the service to harass, bully, or abuse any household member

7. User content (chore-proof photos)

You retain ownership of photos uploaded as chore proof. You grant HouseHeld a limited license to store, display, and process those photos solely to deliver the service. We will not use them for marketing or to train machine-learning models. Photos are deleted when the associated chore instance is deleted or when the relevant profile is deleted.

8. Intellectual property

The HouseHeld name, logo, and software are owned by HouseHeld LLC. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property to you.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time via the app (Settings → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability caps, and indemnification — standard consumer-SaaS boilerplate to be drafted by counsel.

11. Dispute resolution

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
